FRANCES I. (PROBERT) COOK PRINCE

Frances Prince

Frances I. Prince, 97, of Ipava, formerly of Peoria and Metamora, died at 11:50 p.m. Wednesday, July 15, 1998, at McDonough District Hospital in Macomb.

She was born Nov. 22, 1900, in Chicago, a daughter of Phillip and Mabel Crippon Probert. She married William Paul Cook in 1919 in Peoria. She later married John F. Prince in 1942 in Pekin. He died in March 1976 in Peoria. She was also preceded in death by one son, Lawrence Richard Cook, four grandchildren, one sister and her infant twin brother.

Surviving are three daughters, Phyllis Roos of Bartonville, Georgia Winters of Metamora and Willa “Billie” Lambie of Ipava, with whom she made her home; 11 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; and 27 great-great-grandchildren.

She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star Cloverleaf Chapter in Creve Coeur for 68 years and was a former Worthy Matron. She was a member of the White Shrine. She was the oldest member of the Order of Eastern Star in Illinois. She attended Ipava Christian Church.

Services were held Saturday at Davison-Fulton Bartonville Chapel with Rev. Randy Hall officiating. An Eastern Star service was conducted. Burial was in Parkview Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the Shriners Hospitals local transportation fund.
