Mabel Emily Phelps, 72, of Havana, died at 9:30 p.m. Thursday, March 7, 1996, at Havana Healthcare Center.
She was born March 31, 1923, in Bernadotte, a daughter of Otto and Helen DeMoss. She married Jesse “Bep” Phelps on Sept. 28, 1946, in Beardstown. He survives.
Also surviving are one son, Kenneth Phelps; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Two brothers and five sisters preceded her in death.
She worked for Atwood Vacuum Co. She was a member of Havana Church of Christ.
Funeral services were held Monday at Hurley Funeral Home with Rev. Warren Hughes officiating. Burial was in Laurel Hill Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to Mason District Hospital.
