Charles Palmer, Jr., 3 Years Old, Dies At Home

Charles W. Palmer, Jr., 3, of rural Vermont, was found dead about 10:30 p.m. Monday night, Oct. 29, 1979, at his home.

Fulton County Coroner George Kauzlarich said an autopsy ruled that death was officially from “acute laryngo tracheo bronchitis,” an inflammation in the trachea area causing difficult breathing.

He was born Sept. 4, 1976, in Rushville, a son of Charles and Mary Fleck Palmer, Sr.

Surviving are the parents; three sisters, Veronica, Teresa and Beth Ann, all at home; and grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. William G. Palmer of Vermont and Mr. and Mrs. Carl H. Fleck of Rushville.

Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday afternoon in the First Baptist Church in Lewistown with Rev. Clyde L. Winegar officiating. Burial will be in Union Chapel Cemetery near Astoria.

Visitation will be at Kost Memorial Home in Vermont this evening. Memorials may be made to the church.
