Aged Lady Found Dead In Bed At Home Of Daughter

Mrs. Anna Peak died suddenly Thursday night at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Perry Gullion, east of Summum, with whom she had made her home since the death of husband which occurred several years ago.

Mrs. Peak retired feeling apparently as well as usual. She was found dead in bed the following morning.

The deceased was born October 10, 1856 [film scratched – illegible] was aged 73 years, 9 months and 7 days. She was united in marriage to Edgar Peak, Dec. 7, 1877. To this union one child was born, Mrs. Lecil Gullion. Besides her daughter, she leaves to mourn her untimely death, two brothers and three sisters, Joseph Parker, George Parker, Mrs. Joseph Clare, Mrs. Elizabeth Willoughly and Alice Krutz, all of Florence, Ind.

She united with the Methodist church in Florence, Ind., when quite young and has always lived a true Christian life. She was a true, faithful wife and mother, a kind sister and friend, always ready to help those in need or distress.

The remains were sent to Florence, Ind., where funeral services were held Sunday afternoon. Interment in the Florence cemetery.
