LEWISTOWN — Miss Minerva Porter passed away Sunday night at her home on Second North street at 8:30 o’clock, after an illness extending over a week. She was stricken with paralysis on Monday, December 29. She was 75 years, eight months and 19 days of age. The deceased was a daughter of Isaac and Lovenia Porter and was born in Putman township on the old Porter homestead, April 15, 1844. Her life was spent in this community. The funeral services were held from the Methodist church, Tuesday afternoon at 1:30 o’clock conducted by Rev. M. S. Swisher. Burial in the Saunders cemetery north of this city.
