Robert Pottenger.

Robert Pottenger, Jr., was born in Springfield, Illinois, March 24, 1909 and died in the same city August 16, 1910 being 1 year 4 months and 22 days old at the time of his death. He was the son of Robert and Fannie Pottenger. The father, mother, and little sisters, Helen and Dorthy, are grief stricken to have to give up the precious little babe, but it is God’s will that such sorrow comes into the lives of us all. All four of the grand-parents of the child are still living.

The bereft family, relatives and friends of the child have the sincere sympathy of all who know what it means to give up such a sweet and precious little life.

The funeral party arrived from Springfield at 2:00 o’clock last Thursday afternoon. The funeral services were held in the United Brethren church. Because of the absence of their pastor, Rev. Niswonger, the sermon was preached by Rev. C. M. Wilson, of the Methodist church. Interment, in the Astoria cemetery.
