VALERA BESSIE PLATE

Valera Plate

LEESEBURG — William Plates’ buried their baby Valera last Thursday. It was the saddest funeral ye scribe ever attended. Every one shed tears as they looked over the form of the sweet little innocent babe.

’Tis hard to break the tender chord
When love has bound the heart:
’Tis hard, so hard to speak the words,
“Must we forever part.”
Dearest loved one, we must lay thee
In the peaceful grave’s embrace.
But the memory will be cherished
Till we see thy heavenly face.

She was just two years old the day we laid her in the tomb. Rev. Cooper conducted the services and we think him a good speaker.
