WILLARD F. PURDY

Willard Purdy

BROWNING — Died, at his home in Hawkeye No. 2, after a lingering illness, Willard F. Purdy. It is an old saying that death loves a shining mark. We offer our sympathies but oh how frail these words of condolence are in cases like these. We say to the dear old mother who has watched for ten weeks the flickering light, has brought the cooling draughts to cool the fevered lips, be of good cheer, do not despond, for your dear boy is only transplanted to the heavenly plantation, in which bloom forever all the beautiful flowers of the earth. We heartily sympathize with you all, having passed through the same ordeal ourselves in the loss of a dear little boy.
