Judy O'GradyJudy Faye O’Grady, 71, of Havana died at 6:15 p.m. Sept. 23, 2021, at OSF-St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.

She was born July 18, 1950, in Hickman, Ky., a daughter of Mable and Dee Scheland. She married Rodney O’Grady on July 12, 1972. He survives.

Also surviving are five children, Corey (and Tara) Scheland, Stacey (and Bob) Cooper, Amy Welker (companion Justin Behymer) and Blake (and Aubri) Scheland, all of Havana, and Dennis (and Robin) O’Grady of Creve Coeur; three siblings, Roma (and Dave) McBride, Roger Scheland and Gary (and Brenda) Scheland; 11 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and one brother, Donald Scheland.

She was a youth league bowling coach for over 20 years at the Paddle Wheel in Havana.

She worked at Dairy Queen in Havana for many years before starting with Oney’s at the service desk. After many years there, she moved on to the Havana High School cafeteria, where she retired.

Funeral services were held Tuesday at Hurley Funeral Home in Havana. Burial was at Laurel Hill Cemetery in Havana.

Memorials may be made to Mason County Pets Without Parents or to the O’Grady Family to fund Christmas presents for the residents at Havana Health Care.
