She was born Jan. 19, 1921, in Fulton County, a daughter of Charles W. and Nellie E. Roberts Carver. She married Milton R. Orwig on April 9, 1940, in Keokuk, Iowa. He died March 7, 1995.
She also was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.
Surviving are seven children, Elizabeth (and Jim) Shouse of Hawaii, Rosemary Plotts of Galesburg, Coralis (and Mike) Gillete of Gerlaw, Anna (and Lynn) Chenoweth of Brunsville, Iowa, and James Orwig, Donna (and Larry) Hudson and Jerry (and Gail) Orwig, all of Canton; one brother, Coraliss “Toby” (and Dorothy) Carver of Garland, Texas; nine grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Cremation will be accorded. A memorial service was held Saturday at Henry-Lange Memorial Home in Cuba with Reverend Martha Danielson officiating. Inurnment will be in Baughman Cemetery at a later date.
