MARION F. (OLSON) OSMAN

Marion F. Osman, 77, of Brazil, Ind., formerly of Astoria, died at 5:10 a.m. May 21, 2001, at Union Hospital.

She was born Dec. 19, 1923, in Arthyde, Minn., a daughter of Daniel and Grace Thomson Olson. She married William "Bill" Osman on May 11, 1947. He survives.

Also surviving are one daughter, Carol Ann (and Jerry) Parkins of Knightsville, Ind.; three grandchildren; and four sisters, Lola Naylor and Lavonne (and Jack) O'Brien, both of Arizona, and Doris Jones and Betty (and Lenny) Alf, both of Minnesota.

She was preceded in death by one brother, Milton Olson, and one sister, Marcella Jensen.

She served in the Army as a surgical technician.

She was a 50-year member of OES, Ipava Chapter, and served as pastworthy matron. She was a member of the American Legion Post of Marshall, DAV Auxiliary, VFW Auxiliary Post #1127 of Brazil and a charter member of Women's Memorial Foundation in Washington, D.C.

She was attending Peniel United Methodist Church.

Services will be held Thursday at 1 p.m. at French Funeral Home with Rev. John Fischer officiating. Visitation is tonight from 6-8 p.m. and Thursday prior to services. Burial will be in Clearview Cemetery.
