Barbara Darlene Ogden, 65, of Chandlerville, died at 3:10 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 23, 1996, at the emergency room at Memorial Medical Center, Springfield.
She was born July 23, 1931, in Oakford, a daughter of Otis and Eva Saathoff Lynn. She married John L. Ogden Oct. 4, 1948 in Carthage. He survives.
Also surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Danny (Lynette) Rich of Chandlerville, Mrs. Gil (Sheila) Shilling of Pekin and Mrs. Darrell (Connie) Rich of Chandlerville; four sons, Wendell “Barney” Ogden of Corydon, Iowa, Michael Allen Ogden of Beardstown, Dean Ogden of Galesburg and David “Pat” Ogden of Havana; 17 grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; two brothers, Darold Lynn of San Jose and Jim Lynn of Chandlerville; and two sisters, Donna Merrill of Canton and Donna White of Germany.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
She was a member of Dunfermline Ladies Club and the Prairieland Heritage Museum in Jacksonville. She was a homemaker.
Funeral services were held Tuesday at Hurley Funeral Home in Havana with Rev. Duane Turley officiating. Burial was in Bethel Cemetery in Chandlerville.
Memorials may be made to the Special Olympics or the Tourette Syndrome Foundation.
