Clinton Ogden Died Thursday In Canton Hospital

Clinton Ogden of Woodland township, died at the Canton hospital Thursday, where he had been confined for the past twelve days. He had been in failing health for the past several years.

Clinton Ogden was born in Fulton County, Illinois, Sept. 11, 1861. At the time of his death he was aged 68 years, 10 months and 8 days. He was united in marriage to Priscilla Punneo, Dec. 28, 1879, who [film scratched — illegible] down life’s journey with him, sharing the joys and vicissitudes of this life.

The following children were born to this union: Charles of Astoria, Frank of Summum, Hiram of Austin, Mo., Elmer of Table Grove, Lawrence of Vermont, Clem of Rushville and Mrs. Ivy Welker of Astoria.

He leaves to mourn his departure his faithful companion, the above named children, one sister, Mrs. Martha Smith of Wichita, Kansas, seventeen grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held Monday at 11:00 a.m. at the United Brethren church by the pastor, Rev. W. R. Seitzinger, and interment at the Astoria cemetery.
