Kenneth W. Nell Sr., 82, of Littleton died at 4:54 a.m. Oct. 17, 2013, at St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester, Minn.
He was born Jan. 11, 1931, in Littleton Township, Schuyler County, a son of Robert and Mabel Barrett Nell. He married Margaret Kathleen Block on June 2, 1962, in Macomb. She preceded him in death on Sept. 12, 1991.
He also was preceded in death by one brother, Donald Nell.
Surviving are his long time companion Alberta Billingsley of Rushville; one son, Kenneth D. (and Deana) Nell of Littleton; one daughter, Kathryn D. (and Richard) Gray of Plymouth; two brothers, Jerry (and Imogene) Nell of Fairview and John (and Barbara) Nell of Neponset; and two grandchildren.
He was a lifelong farmer and served as Littleton Township Road Commissioner for eight years.
He was a U.S. Army Korean War veteran and a member of Schuyler American Legion Post #4. He also was a member of Vermont Antique Tractor Club.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Worthington Funeral Home in Rushville with Rev. Dixie Croxton officiating. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery north of Astoria with military honors by the U.S. Army and Schuyler American Legion Post #4.
