Ethel NappinEthel E. Nappin, 97, of Lewistown (Spoon River Towers) died at 9:20 a.m. Aug. 13, 2011, at her home.

She was born March 11, 1914, in rural Lewistown, a daughter of Isaac L. and Opal D. Wilcoxen Harn. She married Cyril J. Nappin on Nov. 23, 1940, in Ft. Madison, Iowa. He preceded her in death on March 9, 1979.

She also was preceded in death by one daughter, Karen Ann Nappin; one granddaughter, Beth Jennings; one great-grandson, Trenton James Dailey; and two sisters.

Surviving are one son, Jim (and Jane) Nappin of Lewistown; brothers and sisters, Louise Harn, Bernice White, Lewis (and Lucille) Harn, Juanita Stufflebeam, George (and Thelma) Harn, Jane Boyd and Robert (and Irene) Harn, all of Lewistown; two grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

She was a homemaker.

She was of Christian faith.

She was a lifetime member of Lewistown VFW Ladies Auxiliary.

Services were held Tuesday at Henry-Lange Memorial Home in Lewistown. Burial was in White Chapel Memory Gardens in Canton.
