Treva Kelly Newton, 89, of Largo, Fla., formerly of Vermont, died Wednesday, July 31, 2002, in Largo.
She was born Jan. 30, 1913, in Vermont, the daughter of Charlie and Gertrude Adams Leftridge. She married W. Vernon Kelly. He preceded her in death.
Surviving are four nieces and nephews.
A member of the Illinois Home Economics Association, she taught for 39 years, retiring from Riverside Brookfield High School in Riverside Brookfield.
She was a member of Orders of the Eastern Star and its Patria Club.
Graveside services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Chapel Hill Gardens West Cemetery in Hillside. There will be no visitation. Pedersen-Nyberg Mortuary in Elmhurst is in charge of arrangements.
