Oscar H. “Buddie” Norris Jr., 52, of Ipava, died at 10:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 28, 1998, at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center in Peoria.
He was born Aug. 7, 1946, in Lakeland, Fla., a son of Oscar H. Sr. and Irene Johnson Norris. He married Marie Lester on April 13, 1996, in Ipava. She survives.
Also surviving are three sons, Tom of Florida, David of Oklahoma and Mikie, at home; one daughter, Christine Norris of Oklahoma; one brother, John of Ipava; one sister, Christine Ross of Sterling, Va.; and one half sister, Violet Beirman of Puerto Rico.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
A truck driver, he retired in 1992.
Memorial services were held Tuesday at United Presbyterian Church in Ipava with Rev. William Abernathy officiating. Cremation has been accorded. Arrangements were by Shawgo Memorial Home in Ipava.
