Former Astoria Woman Dies

Mrs. Mary Naffziger of Hopedale, died in the St. Joseph hospital at Bloomington, Friday, aged 69 years, one month and six days.

Mary C. Tregellas was born in Astoria, October 11, 1881. She was united in marriage to E. H. Naffziger in 1908 and spent the remainder of her life in Hopedale.

She was a graduate of the Astoria High school, and taught in this vicinity for several years.

Besides her husband, she is survived by two children, Robert of Pekin, and Mrs. Wilmet Heiser of Hopedale; five grandchildren; also four sisters and one brother, Ida and Florence Tregellas, Mrs. Jane Oehler, all of Astoria, Mrs. Perle Kirby of Quincy, and Edward P. Tregellas of Monmouth.

Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at 2 o’clock at the Methodist church in Hopedale, conducted by Rev. Chapman. Burial in cemetery at Delevan.
