Clair MyersClair B. “Skeet” Myers, 87, of Lewistown died at 5:22 p.m. Feb. 4, 2023, in Havana.

He was born Sept. 14, 1935, in rural Avon, a son of Charley and Leota Hahn Myers. He married Betty Palmer on Aug. 18, 1956, in Bushnell. She survives.

Also surviving are two daughters, Laurie Welsh of Lewistown and Patty (and Matthew) Randall of Las Vegas, Nev.; two sons, David (and Kim) Myers of Benton, Ark., and Mike (and Cassie) Myers of Lewistown; 10 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by one son, Mark Myers; six brothers; and three sisters.

He attended Sweeny County School and later graduated from Bushnell High School. After school he enjoyed farming with his father in his early years.

He worked at International Harvester (Canton Plant) for 21 years while he farmed and was a rural mail carrier. He later worked for the Lewistown School District.

He served on the LCHS School Board, the Lewistown Park District Board and South Fulton Tractor Club. He also was a member of IH Red Power and was an avid collector of International Harvester tractors and memorabilia.

A graveside service will be held at 1:15 p.m. Friday at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lewistown with Reverend Ellen Dodd officiating. Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday at Henry-Lange Memorial Home in Lewistown.
