She was born April 20, 1933, the daughter of Glenn Russell and Della Rippy Valentine. She married James William “Bill” Malcomson on Sept. 25, 1949, in Rushville. He preceded her in death on Jan. 5, 1999.
She also was preceded in death by one brother, Glenn Joe Valentine.
Surviving are one son, Jim (and Jane) Malcomson of Frederick; her companion, Butch Applegate; five grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
She worked as a caregiver for Loka Schmoldt and was a life-long farmer. She was a member of a Rushville Bowling League and State Billiards Tournament.
Cremation has been accorded. A private inurnment will be held at Messerer Cemetery with Rev. Fred Fritz officiating. A Celebration of Life will be held from 4-6 p.m. Sunday at the Homestead Event Barn.
