She was born Sept. 4, 1954, in Pekin, a daughter of Alfred M. and Martha J. Mock Shelby Sr.
Surviving are three children, Sheary (and Bill) Dupoy of Rushville, Micheal Cookson of Washington and Katie (and Jacob) Howard of Browning; three sisters, Wilma Stamback, Elva Danner and Denise (and Leon) Simpson; two brothers, Everett Shelby and Alfred Shelby Jr.; five grandchildren; and three great-granchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers, Fred Shelby and Jim Shelby.
She was a seamstress and loved to quilt.
Cremation rites have been accorded. Private family services will be held at a later date. Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria is in charge of arrangements.
