Robert MillerRobert W. Miller, 71, of Morton died Jan. 11, 2022, after almost 20 years battling cancer.

He was born March 7, 1950, in Peoria, a son of Wm. and Elsie (Raymen) Miller. He married Sharon Fisk on Feb. 29, 1976. She survives.

Also surviving are one brother-in-law, Chuck Fisk of Astoria; one sister-in-law, Georgia (and Gale) Parker of Astoria; nieces and nephews, Adam Fisk, Alissa Fisk, Natasha Morrell, Elizabeth Parker Howard, Dallas Parker, Amanda Parker and Bryan Parker; four great-nephews; and one great-niece.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and one brother, Jerry.

He graduated from Morton High School in 1968. After graduation, he entered the Army National Guard, serving from 1968-72.

After the service, he owned and operated Miller Paint Store in Morton until 1982, at which time he became a self-employed painter doing interior and exterior painting on all types of homes and buildings.

He was a member of the Morton Fire Department for 44 years.

Cremation has been accorded. There will be no services at this time. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Cremation Society of Mid Illinois was in charge of arrangements.
