He was born Aug. 17, 1968, in Claremore, Okla., a son of Jackie Sr. and Jeannie Wren Montgomery.
Surviving are five children, Josh (and Brittney Dunmire) Montgomery of Winchester, Jerid “Crud” (and Peyton) Montgomery of Rushville, Kylie (and Matt McGinnis) Montgomery of Astoria and Kara-Lynn Montgomery and Aleah “Itty” Montgomery, both of Griggsville; one adopted son, Kyle Morse of Rushville; one brother, A.J. Montgomery of San Antonio, Texas; one sister, Tina (and David) Kendall of San Antonio, Texas; companion, Stephanie Morse of Griggsville; and 12 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by paternal grandparents, Art Montgomery and Lucille Stinson; maternal grandparents, Bobby and Bonnie Wren; and ex-wife, Ericka Mefford.
He was a truck driver for over 20 years, most recently driving for Stribling Trucking in Ashland.
A funeral service was held Monday at Sager Funeral Home in Beardstown. A private burial will be held at Black Oak Cemetery at a later date.
