She was born Feb. 19, 1937, in Kilbourne, the daughter of Orville and Pauline Daniels Hamblin. She married Daniel Mapes on Jan. 3, 1958, in Kilbourne. He survives.
Also surviving are four sons, Myron (and Kristin) Mapes of Riverton, Ayron (and Melanie) Mapes of Buckeye, Ariz., Ryan (and Susan) Mapes of Lyndon and Bryan (and Terri) Mapes of Havana; one daughter, Charlene (and Phillip) Davis of Kilbourne; one brother, Donald Hamblin of Kilbourne; 12 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
She was a homemaker who was a babysitter for several years.
She was a lifelong member of Mount Zion Southern Baptist Church in Kilbourne where she played the piano and organ.
Services were held Monday at her church with Pastor Randy Wilson officiating. Burial was at Mount Zion Southern Baptist Church Cemetery. Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria was in charge of arrangements.
