Eleanor Lee McFarland, 85, of Bradenton, Fla., formerly of Vermont, died at 6:02 p.m. Jan. 25, 2014, at Tidewell-Bradenton Hospice House in Bradenton.
She was born Aug. 30, 1928, in Vermont, the daughter of Harry and Edith Phillips Hunter. She married Edgar L. “Jack” McFarland on Sept. 19, 1951. He preceded her in death in 1984.
She also was preceded in death by one daughter, Stephani K. McFarland.
Surviving are one special friend, Dolores Ruland of Bradenton, Fla.
She was a registered nurse.
Services will be private. Burial will be in Vermont Cemetery. Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria is in charge of arrangements.
