Douglas MyersDouglas John Myers, 56, of Littleton died Sept. 21, 2013, at Culbertson Memorial Hospital in Rushville, from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident.

He was born Aug. 23, 1957, in Carthage, a son of George N. and Inez Bozard Myers. He married Danna Leake on June 26, 1977, in Winchester. She survives.

Also surviving are two daughters, Dr. Rachel Myers (and fiancé Jason Sheppard) of Belvidere and Jessie Myers of Littleton; his mother, Inez Holderman of Winchester; one brother, Kendall (and Eva) Myers of Arizona; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father; one brother, Jeff Myers; one nephew, Shane; and stepfather, Paul Holderman.

A 1975 graduate of Winchester High School, he earned a degree from Bailey ITT Technical School in Automotive and Diesel Technology. He worked for Byars Brothers and Hess Automotive in Jacksonville. He also painted motorcycles and cars. He operated his own garage where he worked on Harley Davidson motorcycles and Fords.

He was a member of Bro Rider MC. He was of the Christian faith.

Services will be at noon Saturday at Wood Funeral Home in Rushville with Pastor Larry Lindow officiating. Following the service, A Last Ride Procession will lead to the interment at Winchester City Cemetery, where a graveside committal service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until time of the service on Saturday at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to the Jessie Myers Education Fund.
