Everett "Jeff" MillerEverett Jefferson "Jeff" Miller, 78, of Smithfield died at 3:09 p.m. Sept. 5, 2013, at Graham Hospital emergency room in Canton.

He was born May 7, 1935, in Ipava, a son of Leonard L. and Mary Ethel Bjorklund Miller. He married Wilma Orwig on April 26, 1957. She survives.

Also surviving are his children, Amy (and William) Beoletto of Canton and Phillip Miller of Marion, Iowa; four sisters, Verna (and Roger) Everly of Bushnell, Lorena (and Robert) Wolfe of Roanoke, Gladys (and Robert) Fentem of Leesburg, Ga., and Hazel (and William) Hopkins of Marietta; and four grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two siblings, Bessie (and Willard) Marlow of Macomb and Kenneth (and Lorena) Miller of Columbia, Mo.

He retired from United Mine Workers after 20 plus years. He then worked for Macomb School District where he was grounds keeper and drove the school bus.

He was a member of Cuba Christian Church.

Graveside services were held Monday at Marietta Cemetery with Reverend Mike Arnett officiating. Henry-Lange Memorial Home in Cuba was in charge of arrangements.
