William Bryant "Bill" McWhorter, 60, of Rushville died at 9:48 p.m. Feb. 16, 2012, at Culbertson Memorial Hospital.William Bryant "Bill" McWhorter, 60, of Rushville died at 9:48 p.m. Feb. 16, 2012, at Culbertson Memorial Hospital.
He was born Nov. 25, 1951, in Rushville, a son of Everett Lee and Clova O. Sorrells McWhorter. He married Linda Kay McCarty on June 20, 1970, in Littleton. She survives.
Also surviving are one son, Robert "Bob" (and Jennifer) McWhorter of Rushville; one daughter, Kristina (and Jason) Hammon of Camden; and five grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Larry McWhorter.
He graduated from Rushville High School in 1969.
He worked at McWhorter Saw Mill, Bohn Aluminum for 24 years and later at Cargill Meat Solutions, both in Beardstown.
Services were held Tuesday at Worthington Funeral Home in Rushville with Rev. Rose Ross officiating. Burial was in Rushville City Cemetery.
