She was born Dec. 29, 1924, in Toowoomba, Queensland, a daughter of Thomas and Magdalena Claussen Evans. She married Harry McCombs in 1945 in Bader. He preceded her in death in 1997.
She also was preceded in death by two sisters, Norma Gray and Ilma.
Surviving are four sons, John (and Linda) McCombs of Petersburg and Chris (and Heather) McCombs, Kerry (and Annamaria) McCombs and Craig McCombs, all of Australia; five sister-in-laws, Rosa Lee Stambaugh of Browning, Doris Thomas of Astoria, Lois McCombs of Peoria, Betty McCombs of Blandinsville and Shirley McCombs of Petersburg; eight grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Bader Cemetery in Browning with Brandon Thomas officiating. Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria is in charge of arrangements.
