Anna MooreAnna Doris Moore, 88, of Rushville died at 4:10 p.m. Oct. 7, 2010, at McDonough District Hospital in Macomb.

She was born April 1, 1922, in Greenway, Ark., a daughter of Jonas and Lucy Curlee Shelby. She married Theodore Melvin Moore on Aug. 1, 1943, in St. Louis, Mo. He preceded her in death on Aug. 15, 1995.

She also was preceded in death by three brothers, two of whom died in infancy and Bill Shelby; and three sisters, Louise Glasco, Lucy Clevenhagen and Kate Corsey.

Surviving are one daughter, Marti (and Chuck) Cunningham of rural Rushville; two sons, Ron (and Colette) Moore of Tucson, Ariz., and Brock (and Dolly) Moore of Huntsville, Ala.; one brother, James Shelby of Augusta, Ga.; 10 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

She was a member of Rushville Free Methodist Church.

She worked for the U.S. Government selling war bonds during World War II.

After her marriage, she was a life-long homemaker. For the past two years, she made her home with her daughter and son-in-law in rural Rushville.

Graveside services were held Monday at Littleton Cemetery with Rev. Mike Cahill and Rev. Rose Ross officiating. Worthington Funeral Home in Rushville was in charge of arrangements.
