Grace MillerGrace Miller, 85, of Rushville died at 5 p.m. July 2, 2010, at Snyder’s Vaughn Haven Nursing Home in Rushville.

She was born June 6, 1925, in Schuyler County, a daughter of Murlen “Jack” and Mary Virginia Phillips Croxton. She married Alfred Miller on June 11, 1943, in Rushville. He preceded her in death on Feb. 26, 1998.

She also was preceded in death by two brothers, Richard Lloyd and Merlen Eugene Croxton; and five sisters, Pauline Toland, Doris Maxine Rockwell, Helen June Payne, Alice Zaborac and Nancy Croxton.

Surviving are one daughter, Betty (and William) Reimers of Macomb; three sisters, Donna M. Boyd of Rushville and Gloria Keller and Marylan Johnson, both of Macomb; one grandchild; and one great-grandchild.

She worked in the cafeteria at Rushville High School; on the production line at Bartlow Brothers; and a nurse’s aide at Culbertson Memorial Hospital in Rushville for many years, retiring in 1991.

She was a member of Church of Christ (Christian) in Rushville.

Services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Wood Funeral Home in Rushville with Rev. Mike Cahill officiating. Burial will follow in Rushville City Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to her church or the National Kidney Foundation.
