She was born Dec. 29, 1949, in LaPrairie, a daughter of Ora Vollmer and Mary Marguerite Peterson Bubb. She married Russell L. McCombs Jr. on May 24, 1998, in Beardstown. He survives.
Also surviving are one son, Brian (and Megan) Busby of New Holland; one daughter, Tessa Busby of Beardstown; two stepsons, Brett (and Kelly) McCombs of Beardstown and Samuel “Matt” McCombs of Vermont; two stepdaughters, Jaime (and Juan) Corral and Angela McCombs (and fiance Joe Fisher) of Astoria; two brothers, Carroll Bubb of Hartford and Darrell Bubb of Farmer City; two sisters, Janice (and C.J.) Hardwick of Farmer City and Edna (and Bob) Leckrone of South Roxana; and four grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
She graduated from Camp Point Central High School in the Class of 1968. She was employed with Cargill Meat Solutions in Beardstown for 12 years.
Services were held Tuesday at Sager Funeral Home in Beardstown. Burial was in Messerer Cemetery near Frederick.
