Patrick A. McCabe, 65, of Brereton died at 1:15 p.m. June 11, 2007, at his home.

He was born Dec. 14, 1941, in Lewistown, a son of John F. and Pauline Grigsby McCabe. He married Sandra Hallmark on Dec. 18, 1965, in Havana.

Surviving are one son, Stephen (and Sandy) of Cuba; two daughters, Pamela Martin of St. David and Angela (and Tim) Myers of Wee Ma Tuk Hills; two sisters, Francis (and Harold) Lindzey and Sharon Hall, both of Canton; and six grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Joseph; and one granddaughter, Emily McCabe.

He served 30 years in the Air National Guard as a mechanic.

He worked 32 years at Caterpillar in Mapleton as an inspector before retiring.

He was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Lewistown, UAW, Knights of Columbus in Canton and an amateur ham radio operator.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Henry-Lange Memorial Home in Lewistown with Monsignor Robert O’Connor officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services at the memorial home. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Lewistown with military rites accorded by Lewistown VFW Post 5001 and American Legion Post 1.
