Martha V. “Marty” Morgan, 94, of Beardstown, formerly of Lewistown, died May 16, 2007, at Heritage East Nursing Home in Beardstown.
She was born June 6, 1912, in Virginia, a daughter of Rudolph and Julia Shaffer Reinhardt. She married J.P. Morgan on Nov. 14, 1937, in Lewistown. He died Feb. 25, 1977.
She also was preceded in death by three brothers and one sister.
Her son Frederick A. “Freddy” Morgan died May 18, 2007.
Surviving are two sons, Kent (and Linda) of Seattle, Wash.; and Mark (and Carol) of Leesburg, Fla.; one sister, Pauline Peters of Finley, Ohio; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
She owned and operated Tip Top Dry Cleaners in Beardstown for 37 years.
She was a member of First Christian Church in Beardstown.
Services were held Tuesday at Henry-Lange Memorial Home in Lewistown with Rev. Danie deBeer officiating. Burial was in Oak Hill Cemetery in Lewistown.
