He was born June 17, 1925, in LaHarpe, a son of George Ben and Eleanor LaMaster Murfin.
Surviving are one brother, Lyle of Danville; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Cecil Charles.
He farmed, mowed lawns and did odd jobs.
Services were held Friday at Rushville City Cemetery with Rev. Thomas Ryan officiating. Worthington Funeral Home in Rushville was in charge of arrangements.
