Kenneth D. McHarry, 88, of Havana died at 7:50 p.m. Feb. 11, 2007, at Mason District Hospital in Havana.
He was born Jan. 22, 1919, in San Antonio, Texas, a son of John W. and Caroline Donaldson McHarry Jr. He married Edra Schneider on June 3, 1940, in San Antonio. She survives.
Also surviving are four nephews and four nieces.
He was preceded in death by one sister, Natalie Ganson; and two brothers, Eugene and John.
He was head operating engineer for a Texaco chemical complex in New Jersey for 27 years.
He was a member of Mason County Farm Bureau and the Illinois Irrigation Society, serving as a member of the board for several years.
Cremation rites have been accorded. Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria was in charge of arrangements.
