Martin H. Maurer, 87, of Rushville died at 12:08 p.m. Saturday, May 7, 2005, at Snyder's Vaughn-Haven Nursing Home.
He was born Dec. 8, 1917, in Chicago, the son of Martin Sr. and Agnes Sitterly Maurer. He married Virginia Tolles Constable on Nov. 24, 1986, in Oswego. She survives.
Also surviving is one stepson, Randy (and Cindy) Constable of Rushville.
He worked for Fansteel Inc. in North Chicago until retiring.
Cremation has been accorded. Private family burial of ashes will be in Highland Memorial Park Cemetery in Libertyville at a later date. Worthington Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, Central Illinois Chapter, in Peoria.
