ZELMA M. (FIERCE) MILLER

Zelma Miller

Zelma M. Miller, 85, of Smithfield died at 7:45 a.m. Sunday, April 14, 2002, at Graham Hospital in Canton.

She was born Dec. 22, 1916, in Cuba, a daughter of James and Anna (Gilmore) Fierce. She married Robert K. Miller on Sept. 28, 1935, in Smithfield. He died June 11, 1993.

She also was preceded in death by one son, Randy John Miller; and one brother, Leroy Fierce.

Surviving are two sons, Gene (and Carol) of Ipava, and Eldon (and June) of Cuba; one daughter, Carol (and Larry) Wilson of Atascadero, Calif.; one sister, Mary Stutsman of Cuba; nine grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and three step-greatgrandchildren.

She was a homemaker and farmed with her husband.

She was a member of the Brock United Methodist Church and Triple H Club, both of Smithfield; Fulton County Farm Bureau Women's Committee and Home Bureau; and the Friendly Neighborly Circle.

Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at her church with Rev. Stacey Tomich officiating. Burial will be in Baughman Cemetery in rural Smithfield. Visitation will be held Friday from 6-8 p.m. at the Henry-Lange Memorial Home in Cuba.

Memorial contributions may be made to her church, the Grant Keime Memorial Trust or to Cass Putman Rescue Squad.
