Gail Marion McClanahan, 66, of Jacksonville died at 12:27 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 29, 2000, at Passavant Area Hospital in Jacksonville.
She was born March 7, 1934, in Carrollton, a daughter of Roy and Edith Story Walls.
Surviving are one daughter, Jerry (and Denis) Barnes of Astoria, two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; five sisters, Esther Coffman of Springfield, Ruby (and Dale) Little of Roodhouse, Delois (and Walter) Frye, Cookie Hoots and Connie (and Michael) Anderson, all of Jacksonville; and two brothers, John Walls of Jacksonville and Ronnie Walls of Carrollton.
She was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Dorothy Retherford, Neoma Benton and Ruth Scott; and two brothers, Ward and Bill Walls.
She attended Roodhouse schools.
She was a homemaker.
Services were held Friday, Dec. 1, at Cody and Son Memorial Home. Burial was in Fernwood Cemetery in Roodhouse.
Memorials may be made to the family for an education fund for her great-grandchildren.
