Barbara J. Morgan, 62, formerly of Abilene, Texas, died at 6:15 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 25, 2000, at Astoria Healthcare Center.
She was born Feb. 5, 1938, in Winters, Texas, the daughter of Walton A. and Bertha L. Fuller Harwood. She married John W. Groves Jr. on Feb. 27, 1956, in Comanche, Texas. She later married Paul D. Morgan on April 12, 1974, in Dodge City, Kan. He preceded her in death.
She also was preceded in death by one daughter, Aubrey, and one brother.
Surviving are one son, Johnny (and Mary) Groves of Astoria; one daughter, Barbara Groves of San Antonio, Texas; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
She worked as a line worker for Texas Instruments for nine years.
Services were held Thursday at Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria with Rev. Gary Schultz officiating. Burial was Tuesday at Eula Cemetery in Eula, Texas.
Memorials may be made to the Spoon River Hospice Association.
