Vera McAdams

Vera M. McAdams, 96, formerly of Cuba and 240 E. Birch, Canton, died at 11:51 p.m. Monday, Nov. 8, 1999, at Prairieview Care Center of Lewistown, where she was a resident.

She was born June 18, 1903, in Astoria, a daughter of George and Lillie McClellan Palmer. She married Ray S. McAdams on Oct. 8, 1921, in Cuba. He died July 1, 1978.

One daughter, Frances Henderson; three brothers; and three sisters also preceded her in death.

Surviving are one son, Scott of Eureka; three grandchildren, Gregory McAdams of Metamora, Laura Kalm of Eureka and Darcy White of Houston; and five great-grandchildren.

She was a charter member of Cuba Women’s Club and was a member of Fulton County League of Democratic Women.

A memorial service was held Saturday at Henry Memorial Home in Cuba with Rev. Amy Wharton officiating. Cremation has been accorded with burial of ashes in Cuba Cemetery.
