ANNABELLE L. “ANN” (VANCE) VANFOSSEN MYERS

Annabelle L. “Ann” Myers, 71, of Galesburg, died at 2:10 a.m. Saturday, May 17, 1997, at Galesburg Cottage Hospital.

She was born Jan. 16, 1926, in Macomb, the daughter of Galen O. and Christine Chenoweth Vance. She married Dale VanFossen. She later married Max L. Myers on July 3, 1965, in Las Vegas. He died in 1985.

Surviving are two daughters, Gloria Sue Presley of Galesburg and Patricia J. Quick of Kearny, N.J.; one half brother, Walter Cedric Van Order of Vermont; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

She was an inspector for Admiral Manufacturing Co. for 30 years, retiring in 1985. She also worked part-time at the snack counter at Northgate Lanes bowling alley. She was a member of First Lutheran Church in Galesburg and American Association of Retired Persons. She also was a member of Pin Pals Bowling League.

Services were held Tuesday at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Galesburg Chapel with Rev. Paul Johnson officiating. Burial was in Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or to Community Hospices of America.
