Ernestine Myers

Ernestine Myers, 67, of Cameron, died at 2:35 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 14, 1997, at the Heartland Health Care Center, Galesburg.

She was born Feb. 26, 1929, in Canton, a daughter of George N. and Eva Matheny Myers. Her mother died in childbirth and she was raised by Elzie and Linnie Hamm. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Surviving are one daughter, Marjorie and Bill Liniger of Cameron; three grandchildren, Jason, Eric and Amber Liniger of Cameron; one brother, George Myers of Louisville, Ky.; two sisters, Phyllis Williamson of London Mills and Shirley Parr of Midlothian; and several nieces and nephews.

She was reared and educated in Table Grove and Vermont, graduating from Vermont High School in 1946. She worked in a factory for many years and after retirement, took care of her grandchildren for 13 years. She lived in Ipava for many years prior to moving to Cameron in 1983. She attended the Cameron Christian Church.

Services were held Saturday at Hoover-Hall Memorial Chapel in Monmouth. Burial was in Warren County Memorial Park Cemetery in Monmouth.

A memorial fund has been established to be designated later.
