Patricia Ann Lewis McDowell, 30, of Vermont, died at 1:26 a.m. Monday, Jan. 8, 1996, at her home.
She was born Oct. 22, 1965, in Rushville, the daughter of Arlen and Brenda June Zulauf Lewis. She married James McDowell on Aug. 14, 1995, in Rushville. He survives.
Also surviving are her father of Mt. Sterling; her mother, Brenda Zulauf of Beardstown; two brothers, Michael Lewis of Huntsville and Tim Lewis of Beardstown; one nephew; and grandparents, Bob and Debbie Kerlin of Beardstown and Jack Zulauf of Waverly.
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents.
She graduated from Rushville High School in 1984. She was a correctional officer at the Western Illinois Correctional Center in Mount Sterling. She was a member of the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees Local 3567. She was a member of Ripley Church of God.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Ripley Church of God in Ripley. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Henricker Funeral Home in Mount Sterling and from 8 a.m. to noon before services at the church. Burial will be in Ripley Cemetery.
