Richard L. “Skip” Moss, 76, of Havana, died at 1:10 p.m. Thursday, March 16, 1995, at Mason District Hospital.

He was born June 28, 1918, in Astoria, the son of Glenn Ernest and Lula L. Grissom Moss. He married Virginia Scott on Dec. 11, 1969, in Urbana. She survives.

Also surviving are two stepsons, Gene Fitzpatrick of Tucson, Ariz., and Raymond Fitzpatrick of Calais, Maine; one sister, Maxine McClammer of Zephyrhills, Fla.; three step-grandchildren; and three nephews.

A World War II Army Air Forces veteran, he was a member of Havana Masonic Lodge 88, AF&AM; Scottish Rite Bodies, Valley of Peoria; and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 6408.

Funeral services were held Monday at Hurley Funeral Home with Rev. Michael Stroh officiating. Burial was in Union Chapel Cemetery in Astoria. Masonic services were held.

Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or to his VFW post.
