THELMA I. (DICK) MCNEIL

Sister Of Astorian Dies

Thelma I. McNeil, 74, of Elmwood, died at 1:35 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 6, 1990, in Proctor Community Hospital in Peoria.

She was born Sept. 7, 1916, in Blyton, a daughter of Fred and Flossie Hammond Dick. She married Otis McNeil in Canton on Jan. 6, 1935. He died Oct. 19, 1960.

Surviving are one son, Marvin of Farmington; five daughters, Anita Miller of Marquette Heights, Sandra Chance-Calvert of East Peoria, Genevieve Lingenfelter of Canton, Ramona Boudrouex of Gulf Port, Miss., and Carmaleta Jennings of Colorado Springs; 15 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one half-brother, Fred Dick of Astoria; and two half-sisters, Donna Smith of Havana and Patricia Bishop of Canton.

She was preceded in death by one brother and one sister.

She was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church of Canton.

Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Friday in Murphy-Sedgwick Memorial Home in Canton with Rev. William Dustin officiating. Burial was in Greenwood Cemetery at Canton.

Memorials may be made to the Fulton County Unit of the American Cancer Society.
