Peggy J. McCombs, 48, of 358 S. Monroe St., Rushville, was pronounced dead at 3:05 p.m. Friday, Aug. 30, 1985, at Culbertson Memorial Hospital. She died in a fire at her home.
She was born Nov. 6, 1936, in Havana, the daughter of Ralph and Nedra (David) Soper.
Survivors include her mother, Mrs. Nedra Bankes of Rushville; her grandmother, Mrs. Alta David of Rushville; five sons, Steve McCombs of Dallas, Darrell McCombs of Pinckneyville, David McCombs of York, Pa., and Todd and Doug McCombs, both of Lewistown; one grandson; and two sisters, Donna Edmundson of Gulf Port, Fla., and Carol Morrell of Quincy.
She was preceded in death by her father.
Cremation rites were accorded.
A memorial service was held at 7 p.m. Sept. 3 at the First Southern Baptist Church with Rev. Art Gormley officiating.
Memorials may be made to a fund for Todd and Doug McCombs.
