Mabelle L. Miller Dies At Age 79

Mabelle L. Miller, 79, of Industry, died at 7:20 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 27, 1984, in Culbertson Memorial Hospital in Rushville.

She was born July 9, 1905, in Fulton County, the daughter of Jay and Jessie Castator Mercer. She married Harold Lee Miller May 14, 1927. He died June 30, 1971.

She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Dean (Melba) Snyder of Lafayette, La.; two sons, Billy J. Miller of Pawnee and John E. Miller of Industry; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and one brother, Lloyd Mercer of Sun City, Ariz.

One sister died earlier.

She lived in Fulton County until her marriage and then moved to the Pennington Point community and then lived in Littleton for about 10 years. She moved to the Doddsville community for 15 years and moved to Industry in 1965.

She was a member of the Doddsville United Methodist Church to which memorials may be made.

Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Clugston Chapel in Macomb with Marshall Litchfield officiating. Burial was in the Vermont Cemetery.
