Miss Elva B. Mercer, 95, a resident of the Elms Nursing Home, Macomb, formerly of Vermont, died at 2:45 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 28, 1980, at McDonough District Hospital in Macomb.
She was born Aug. 7, 1885 in Vermont, the daughter of Thomas Edward and Linnie Toland Mercer.
She was a retired school teacher and was formerly the supervisor of Farmington Grade School. She was a member of the Vermont Legion Auxiliary.
Surviving are several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by three brothers and one sister.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Kost Memorial Home in Vermont with Rev. Claude Curry officiating. Burial was in Vermont Cemetery.
