Mike Murphy, 56, of Alton, was found dead in a chair at home early Sunday morning, Feb. 24, 1980. He had been ill several years with a heart condition.
He was a son of the late John P. and Alma Murphy.
Among the survivors are a daughter, Mrs. Joe (Cheryl) Peters, former Astoria resident.
Also surviving are one sister, Betty Sue Rigby, and nine brothers, Charles, Paul, Neil, Edwin, Al, Donald, James, Eugene and Tim.
He was preceded in death by one sister, Mrs. Mary Ann Stevens of Astoria, and three brothers, Jack, Bob and Gerald.
Funeral services and burial were in Hannibal, Mo.
